The goal of How are the Children? is simple—that every young person in Suburban Ramsey County has at least five caring adults whose faces light up when they enter a room.  We want kids to experience these connections everywhere they spend time—at home, at school, in their neighborhood, at the park, at clubs, groups, teams, and activities they’re part of, in stores, at the library, in their faith community—basically everywhere they go. 

To create this web of support around all kids, we need your help.  Research shows that:

• Even one caring, committed adult in the life of a child can change the trajectory of that child’s life.
• Young people do best when they have strong connections to at least three adults (beyond their parent/guardian). 

Children and young people are the future.  Helping them find and build their strengths, builds our communities. Let’s join together and insure that their future is bright!

Our newsletter features an Idea Bank with simple things you can do to connect with kids, Success Stories, and a links to other resources.  You will always have the option to “opt out” if you determine this newsletter doesn’t meet your needs.

Invite us to Speak to Your Group

Help us spread the word about what Suburban Ramsey County adults and organizations can do to let kids know they matter.  If you have an upcoming event, a newsletter, a bulletin board, or you just like to share resources with other people you know, please contact us.  As a Distribution Partner, you’ll have access to all of our resources and you’ll be the first to receive new resources.  All we ask in return is that you share them in any way you see fit through your own networks.
